“NEAR AND FAR”

We’re delighted to welcome returning artist Sue Rowsell and first-time exhibitor Margot Perkins for their joint exhibition Near and Far, a celebration of the landscapes, flora, and quiet moments that inspire their work.

Margot Perkins grew up in the South Burnett and Western Queensland, where her deep connection to the landscape continues to inspire her art. Her works, both abstract and literal, seek to express peace and harmony with nature, each piece holding personal meaning and purpose.

Brisbane-based artist Sue Rowsell left a 25-year architecture career to pursue painting full-time, focusing on botanical still life in oils. Inspired by foliage from her local surroundings, she captures the beauty of nature through vibrant compositions that celebrate colour, pattern, and life.
