We’re delighted to welcome emerging Australian artist Alex Chadwick to Wild Canary for her first exhibition with us, Beyond the Garden.

Alex’s multidisciplinary practice explores Australia’s natural environments through fieldwork, research and abstract expression. For this collection, she spent time exploring Brookfield Gardens and nearby Rafting Ground Reserve, where Moggill Creek flows.

Inspired by the ecological and cultural richness of the area, Beyond the Garden brings together expressive paintings and delicate collage, inviting us to look more closely at the landscapes surrounding us and consider the importance of protecting them.

There are secrets beyond the garden — in the whispers of the wind and the quiet rhythm of the creek. We only need to slow down and listen.
